Most of the items we sell can be purchased over the phone without any additional charge.
However,
some of the items available in our catalogue we prefer customers to order online. These are normally only items in the clearance section & used motorcycle & scooter parts.
These items can be purchased over the phone, but, THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL £3 HANDLING CHARGE for orders placed over the phone for these items.
Why do I have to pay an extra £3 if I want to order some items over the phone?
We keep our costs as low as possible so we can keep the price you pay as low as possible. We keep our costs down by not having a huge showroom in the middle of a busy high street, & by using as few staff as possible to get the work done (less staff, rent, rates & outgoing costs means we don't have to add as much onto the products when we sell them).
Orders taken over the phone (as opposed to ordered through our website) require extra man power, which means more expense!
The main reasons certain items are only available online are:
1) Price-This applies mainly to items in the clearance section. Because these items are priced to clear (often at less than we originally paid for them!!), it's not economical for us to process the order manually over the phone without an additional charge.
2) Availability-For example, most of the used parts & spares & items in the clearance section we have for sale, we only have 1 of. When you order the item online, our website automatically removes the item or updates the inventory. This means there's no chance of the item accidentally being sold twice.
3) Labor intensive items-This mainly applies to used parts & spares. It takes ALOT of work to put these items on our website. Because of the work involved it's not always economical for us to process the payment manually over the phone as well without an additional charge.
4) Items where the description needs to be read-This mainly applies to parts from motorcycle & scooters we have broken for spares. When you order the item online, we know you have seen the full description of the part, the bike or scooter it came from & you have had a chance to read our terms & returns policy. This means you know exactly what you are getting before you order the part (& it means there's no 'I thought the item was new' type arguments later!!)
These items can still be purchased over the phone if you would really prefer to do it that way, but, THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL £3 HANDLING CHARGE for orders placed over the phone for these items.
